In other news, Eldon and Lennis Beichter returned Monday from a few days in Kansas. They went especially for Lennis' 50th class reunion.
On Friday evening they enjoyed dinner at Nelson's Landing in Leonardville. Then on Saturday evening, they attended an all school reunion of Riley County High School, at the Kansas State Ballroom, in Manhattan. Following the meal, they enjoyed guest speaker, Jon McGraw, a Riley County graduate who played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Following the guest speaker, a dance was held.
Julia Bletscher accompanied them and visited in the Leonardville area. They all attended services for Julia's brother, Joseph Kubick, of Clay Center, KS. His funeral was on Saturday.
Stephanie Aerni returned to her home in Switzerland Tuesday after spending four weeks visiting in the States and with the Jason Collier family.
She spent one week sightseeing in Chicago before coming to Crawfordsville for three weeks. While here she attended the Washington County Fair and also spent a week camping with the Colliers at Decorah.
While at Decorah they enjoyed tubing, canoeing and hiking. The Collier's were her host family when she was an exchange student at WACO during the 2012-2013 school year.
