Main Street Washington will hold its annual ?Spring Forward and Savor Washington? this Saturday night, which will feature specialties at nine downtown businesses. Each of the nine businesses will have a $3 item from their menu that sets them apart from the other businesses. Savor Washington will run from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The nine participating businesses are the 207 Night Club, Dino?s Pizza and Steakhouse, Dodici?s Shop, Frontier Family Restaurant, Korner Kremery, Linda Lou?s Diner, La Casa Grande, Panda Palace and The Coffee Corner. There will be live entertainment at three of the businesses from 7 to 9 p.m. Randy Swift and Gary McCurdy will be at Dodici?s shop, Kirk Hittner will play at The Coffee Corner and Jack Mayer, Justin Straight and Marco Salazar will perform at 207 Night Club.
Main Street Washington executive director Amy Vetter remarked, ?It will be another opportunity to keep people downtown, and enjoy some entertainment.?
Vetter said that 207 Night Club and Linda Lou?s Diner are new this year and are making their Savor Washington debut. This is the fourth Savor Washington event Main Street has held. For the past two Januarys, it held one called ?Slow Down and Savor Washington.? Main Street held a ?Spring Forward and Savor Washington,? one year ago at about the same time of year.
Vetter said the Spring Forward and Savor Washington follows the same format as the Slow Down and Savor Washington. She said this year a map will be given out so all nine businesses can be easily located. She said that Savor Washington has typically had six businesses in the past and that she is very happy to expand it to nine.
?We have additional restaurant choices this time,? said Vetter. ?There is a little bit more variety. If you just want to make one choice instead of going to every restaurant, you have more options regarding soups, entrees, desserts.?
