Nine total COVID-19 deaths in Washington County

Washington County has now had nine total deaths due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
The ninth death was reported over the weekend and recorded by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
As of Monday morning, Washington County had 200 reported cases of COVID-19 according to IDPH data.
Across the state, Iowa had 21,918 positive cases of COVID-19 as of Monday morning and a total of 607 deaths due to the virus.
192,949 Iowans have been tested for the virus which is equal to 1 out of every 16 Iowans being tested.
In the rest of the Tri-County area, Henry County had 74 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday morning and Jefferson County had 38 confirmed cases according to IDPH data.
Overall, 12,875 Iowans have been confirmed as recovered across the state. In Washington County, 161 individuals have recovered from the virus. In Henry County, the number of recovered is 62. In Jefferson County, it is 14.
