NL boys? golf takes second in conference
FT. MADISON ? The New London boys? golf team finished as the runner-up in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference South after scoring 353 at yesterday?s meet at Sheaffer in Ft. Madison.
Notre Dame/West Burlington scored 346 for the win.
Central Lee was third with a 359, followed by Maharishi (368), Holy Trinity (374), Van Buren (376) and Danville (419).

Central Lee was third with a 359, followed by Maharishi (368), Holy Trinity (374), Van Buren (376) and Danville (419).
New London?s Hagin Gillis was named first team all-conference for his score of 83, a team low and the third-best in the South Division on the par-72 course. The medalist was Central Lee?s Nick Pundt with a 75.
Tristan Kadel was second team with his 87, while Quincy Porter (89) and Kyler Meyer (94) each made third team.
Other New London golfers were Tyler Schneider (96) and Jaydon Flowers (102).
New London now has a week off before competing in its sectional meet on Friday, May 10.
The Tigers will host that meet at Deerwood Golf Club in New London, starting at 10 a.m.
