NL council approves 2018 budget

NEW LONDON ? New London residents won?t be seeing a hike in their property tax as the rate will be staying the same.
After receiving no citizen questions or comments during a council meeting last week, the New London City Council approved a property tax levy rate of $11.93 per $1,000 valuation. The tax rate for Fiscal Year 2018 is the same as the current fiscal year.

NEW LONDON ? New London residents won?t be seeing a hike in their property tax as the rate will be staying the same.
After receiving no citizen questions or comments during a council meeting last week, the New London City Council approved a property tax levy rate of $11.93 per $1,000 valuation. The tax rate for Fiscal Year 2018 is the same as the current fiscal year.
The total budget for FY 2018 will be 5,068,784. The city?s beginning budget on July 1, 2017, is projected at $2,213,292, and the ending balance on June 30, 2018, is expected to be $1,728,649.
