If you want to register a complaint or report a crime, the New London Police Department reminds residents to report the complaint and/or crime to them or the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, not social media.
New London police says that in order for a complaint or crime to be investigated, it must first be officially reported. The proper way for reporting complaints, the department continues, is to contact the New London Police Department or dispatch at the Henry County Sheriff?s Office.
The press release from the police department goes on to say that publishing complaints and/or crimes on social media is not an official means of filing or reporting complaints and or crimes; therefore, such published posts should not be expected to be investigated.
Finally, the department says it is fully ready and willing to help citizens of New London live safely and peacefully as well as investigate any complaints and/or crimes that occur, but they must first be officially reported.
