NL/W-MU wrestlers split double dual against Highland, Cardinal
HIGHLAND ? New London/Winfield Mt. Union came out on top of Cardinal, 48-24, in a dual that included nine forfeits, but the Tigers fell in their meet against host team Highland, 35-22, on Thursday night.

Against the Huskies, NL/W-MU got a win from Tanner Gipple (182), who pinned Colton Schneider in just 14 seconds.
They also saw a win by major decision from Tyler Schneider (138), who defeated Austin McCarthy by a score of 15-2.
Both Kyle Davis (220) and Austin Hora (170) took a win by forfeit against Highland.
In their win over Cardinal, only five wrestlers had a match, and of those five matches, four wins went to the Tigers.
Brody Burns (145) pinned Patrick Lind in 5:20; Jairin Swailes (152) pinned Kayvin Johnson in 58 seconds; Tanner Schneider got a win by fall over Thomas Rice in 1:37; and Davis pinned Jayson Sallee in 1:29.
The Tigers will wrestle again this weekend at the Ft. Madison Invitational, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
