The fake alligator head placed in Reservoir No.1/Bonnifield Lake by volunteer Frank Wintroub to deter the geese from the beach in July seems to have lost some of its scare factor as several Canada geese swam near it Wednesday afternoon.
Wintroub and other volunteers had been stretching a line across the beach at the water?s edge to keep the geese away. Wintroub also looked into obtaining a flashing white light, another reportedly effective method of keeping geese away.
