No injuries following two-vehicle mishap
No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the intersection of East Washington and South Cherry streets in Mt. Pleasant.

No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the intersection of East Washington and South Cherry streets in Mt. Pleasant.
According to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department?s accident report, a 2012 Ford Focus, driven by Hannah Stater, 17, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling eastbound on East Washington Street and was stopping to turn north onto Cherry Street. Stater?s vehicle was struck from behind by a 1993 Toyota Corolla, driven by Carl Clayton III, 18, also of Mt. Pleasant.
Total damage was estimated at $3,000, and Clayton was cited for failure to stop within an assured, clear distance.
