MT. PLEASANT - No one was hurt on Monday, Nov. 17 when a grain silo caught fire at 2805 Lexington Ave.
The fire was reported at 11:25 a.m. and was contained by 2:30 p.m. 17 firefighters from Mt. Pleasant, New London, and Salem fought to save the structure, expending over 30,000 gallons of water.
Mt. Pleasant Fire Chief Anthony Blint gave his thanks to New London and Salem for their assistance.
