North Dakota man arrested on string of charges
On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, the Henry County Sheriff?s Office arrested and charged Mervin Rex, 34, of North Dakota, with carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor; public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of furbearing animals, a simple misdemeanor.

On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, the Henry County Sheriff?s Office arrested and charged Mervin Rex, 34, of North Dakota, with carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor; public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of furbearing animals, a simple misdemeanor.
At approximately 3:07 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff?s Office stopped to check on an occupied vehicle parked in the ditch in the 2000 grid of U.S. Highway 34. Upon further investigation, Rex was arrested and charged.
The Sheriff?s Office was assisted at the scene by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
