North Iris is now open
North Iris Street was opened to traffic at 8:30 a.m. today, according to Warner Engineering Associates, Inc., the engineering firm for the project.
Weather issues forced the project to be one of the longest in memory. The reconstruction of the street began in the spring of 2014, but a wet summer last year caused repeated delays.

North Iris Street was opened to traffic at 8:30 a.m. today, according to Warner Engineering Associates, Inc., the engineering firm for the project.
Weather issues forced the project to be one of the longest in memory. The reconstruction of the street began in the spring of 2014, but a wet summer last year caused repeated delays.
City and construction crews are still cleaning along North Iris and the street sweeper is being used, so Warner advises motorists to be patient.
Seeding still remains, but can be done with the road open to traffic.
