Northey to visit Fairfield Crop Fair
Jefferson County is one of the places Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be visiting this week as part of his effort to visit each of Iowa?s 99 counties in 2010 to meet with Iowans and discuss agriculture and the issues facing farmers in the state.

Jefferson County is one of the places Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be visiting this week as part of his effort to visit each of Iowa?s 99 counties in 2010 to meet with Iowans and discuss agriculture and the issues facing farmers in the state.
Northey will tour the Muscatine Agriculture Learning Center, speak at the Henry County Corn and Soybean Association meeting in Mount Pleasant, visit the Fairfield Crop Fair, tour the Siemens Wind Power Facility in Fort Madison, address Des Moines and Louisa County FFA chapters at the Mediapolis High School and then speak to the Des Moines and Louisa County Corn and Soybean Association in Wapello.
Northey is scheduled to be at the Fairfield Crop Fair at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The event is being held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
