Much has been bantered about in the national news about Obama?s Stimulus Plan, officially known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Before anyone draws conclusions about it, take a good look at how this Act has helped our own community in the last two years.
Here are just some of the titles of articles in the Fairfield Ledger that cite how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 helped fund various projects in Fairfield and surrounding communities, including energy savings, educational achievement, health records keeping and transportation infrastructure: ?Halley: Energy project to save at least 10 percent annually? (March 1, 2012); ?Norris Asphalt finalist for award? (February 27, 2012); ?Cardinal removed from PLAS [Persistently Low Achieving School] list? (December 19, 2010); ?Hospital board approves $64,600 to buy software? (October 25, 2010); and ?Electronic health records could bring financial reward to hospital? (September 27, 2010).
I have personally read many more articles that discuss, for example the much needed sewage system upgrade and how the Stimulus Plan money was used for that project.
The next time you hear someone say that Obama?s Stimulus Plan didn?t work, refer them to these articles.
