Officers searching for couple that attempted to lure teen into vehicle

Henry County Sheriff?s Office is seeking the public?s help in locating a couple that attempted to lure a teenage girl into a vehicle on Aug. 30.

According to a press release from the sheriff?s office, the incident happened along Highway 78 on Kentucky Avenue.

A late 1990s Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a white male approximately 70 years of age with a long white beard and white hair was being accompanied by a white female in her 20s with long brown hair.

The couple got out of their vehicle and attempted to get a 14-year-old girl, who was in a nearby yard, to come to them. The girl ran into the house, told her parents and when the parents came out, the couple got back into the Blazer and sped off eastward toward Winfield.
