WASHINGTON — With new census data and legislative districts on the books, many Iowans will cast ballots in different buildings and even different towns from the last general election on Nov. 8.
County officials are urging voters to double check their designated locations before they get out the door on Tuesday.
“Some polling places have changed, and so I encourage voters who plan to vote at the polls on Election Day to check the location of their polling place before traveling,” Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer said. “Voters can do so be going to the county website, or Secretary of State website, or finally by contacting (their) county auditor’s office.”
While some have changed since the 2020 cycle, election officials in Henry, Jefferson and Washington counties said all of their precincts had the same voting locations as this year’s primary elections in June.
