Why are you running for office?
I am running for office because I feel the Board of Supervisors is at a stagnant state, and I feel all 12 townships with a lack of communication should be involved in resolving the concerns of Henry County.
What are your priorities if elected?
My priorities when elected are: putting a halt on property tax hikes, finding a resolution for the ambulatory system, with the Board of Supervisors evaluate the lack of day care, coming to an agreement on the side-by-side ordinance for the county and involving the county in economic development.
What do you feel is the most pressing issue facing the county? How do you plan to address it if you are elected?
I feel the most pressing issue facing our county is the stabilization of our ambulance service. When elected, come to agreement to make it affordable for the county to step in. Not one citizen of Henry County can afford to be without a local ambulance service.
If you could improve one thing about how the Henry County Board of Supervisors operates, what would you change?
The one thing I would change about the way the Board of Supervisors operates, address the stagnant atmosphere and lack of total county involvement in resolving Henry County concerns.
Do you think the county has done well in managing taxpayer money, and if not, how would you have spent it differently?
I really don't feel that the taxpayers of Henry County know exactly what their money has been spent on. An obvious question is 'Why are my taxes being increased every year with no explanation?” I hear this a lot and people need an explanation. When elected Henry County Supervisor, I would like to be able to give an explanation to the taxpayers of Henry County where their money is being spent and be available to answer questions for the Henry County taxpayers if the need arises.
