Why are you running for office?
Henry County has always been my home, and I take great pride in helping determine how hard-earned tax dollars are spent to benefit the residents of this county.
What are your priorities if elected?
My first priority is to continue a positive work environment with the employees of the county while maintaining necessary services.
What do you feel is the most pressing issue facing the county? How do you plan to address it if you are elected?
The most pressing issue is managing the budget with limited resources. As a board, we would need to look at all options and decide what is best for the county.
If you could improve one thing about how the Henry County Board of Supervisors operates, what would you change?
In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, email, or phone calls, I would like for each board member, using a rotating schedule, have office hours to receive citizen input. The county is in the process of revamping our website to include a Henry County Facebook link.
Do you think the county has done well in managing taxpayer money, and if not, how would you have spent it differently?
I do believe the Henry County Board of Supervisors has done very well in managing taxpayer dollars. We always strive to find additional budgetary options regarding operational costs for Henry County.
