ON THE BALLOT: Jefferson County Supervisor
N/A
Oct. 21, 2020 1:00 am
Susie Drish
Occupation: Retired from IHCC Employment and Training Specialist after 39 years
Experience: Chair of Jefferson County Dems 12 years
Why are you running for office?
I want to help the county and continue serving the community of Jefferson County and give back.
What are your priorities if elected?
' Budget – trim the fat – especially with the onset of COVID, budget will be very important.
' Nuisance Properties – dealing with them needs to be more of a priority in an efficient, consistent manner.
' Listening and serving all people of the county – keeping in contact with the outlying small towns within the county.
Do you think the county has done well in managing taxpayer money, and if not, how would you have spent it differently?
I would have to take a deeper look and consult with the other supervisors before really speaking to that – a lot of variables – especially this year.
If you are elected to office in November, how should we judge whether your time in office has been a success at the end of those four years?
Public opinion, projects completed, budget balanced and whether I've made a difference.
