Elaine Brandt plays her trumpet for the Fairfield High School marching band performance during the varsity football game against Albia Friday night at Trojan Stadium. The band members performed in jeans and their official band T-shirts because of the hot weather. Brandt is a senior at FHS this year. Behind her are juniors Evan Wood on saxophone and Zach Smith on clarinet. The band will be on the field again during the next varsity home football game Sept. 20 when the Trojans plays Keokuk.
