One Fairfield Luncheon to be held Sept. 23

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Community School District invites the public to attend the One Fairfield Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 23.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairfield Golf & Country Club, and its focus will be celebrating homecoming. The 2022 Homecoming Court will be there, along with a performance from the Vox choir, FHS cheer squad, and updates from FBLA, fall activities, and a football game preview.

A free buffet lunch will be served. To RSVP by Sept. 21, email sarah.godwin@fairfieldsfuture.org. The event is sponsored by Iowa State Bank. The featured speaker that day is FHS alumnus Benjamin Eastburn.

FHS Principal Aiddy Phomvisay said the One Fairfield Luncheons are an effort to engage and connect students with the community, and to celebrate the school district.

“It’s in partnership with our boosters,” he said. “The engagement with the community is what we’re after. We’ll introduce student leaders, highlight our successes, and what the students are looking forward to this year.”
