One injured in motorcycle accident in Crawfordsville Monday night

An Ainsworth man was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics Monday after being thrown from his motorcycle.

On Monday, May 27, at approximately 7:43 p.m., James Frank Drayfahl, of Ainsworth, was riding a 2007 Honda GL 1800 motorcycle and traveling north on Vine Avenue and approaching 282nd Street. Drayfahl did not turn where Vine Avenue and 282nd Street become a 'T” intersection, thus forcing the vehicle to leave the roadway north of 282nd Street and causing it to roll multiple times. He was thrown from the motorcycle. Passing motorists who saw the accident stopped to offer assistance. Washington County Ambulance arrived on scene and transported Drayfahl to the University of Iowa Hospital. Moore's MP responded and towed the totalled vehicle. Also responding were Ainsworth QRS, Crawfordsville Fire, Crawfordsville QRS and Washington County Ambulance.
