Ottumwa farmer dies in accident
OTTUMWA ? Stephen Charles McBeth, 31, of rural Ottumwa, was pronounced dead at Ottumwa Regional Health Center Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from the Wappello County Sheriff?s Office.

OTTUMWA ? Stephen Charles McBeth, 31, of rural Ottumwa, was pronounced dead at Ottumwa Regional Health Center Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from the Wappello County Sheriff?s Office.
Wapello County sheriff?s deputies, Agency Volunteer Fire fighters and Ottumwa Regional Mobile Intensive Care ambulance service responded to a farm implement accident at approximately 2:02 p.m. Wednesday near the junction of Agency-Hedrick Road and 120th Street, north of Agency.
A tractor with an attached implement had overturned. McBeth was the operator of the tractor. He was transported to the hospital and died as a result of his injuries in the accident.
McBeth was transporting hay bales on the front and a bale carrier in back loaded with six bales.
He leaves behind a wife and two young children; and his parents, Charles and Janet McBeth, all of rural Ottumwa.
