Over 100 pot plants seized in Fairfield
FAIRFIELD (GTNS) ? The Fairfield Police Department reported it has uncovered a large marijuana growing operation with more than 100 plants.
On May 14, Fairfield Police Department officers executed a search warrant at 409 E. Hempstead Ave., Fairfield. More than 100 plants suspected to be marijuana were seized. A large amount of evidence was also seized and the investigation is ongoing.

FAIRFIELD (GTNS) ? The Fairfield Police Department reported it has uncovered a large marijuana growing operation with more than 100 plants.
On May 14, Fairfield Police Department officers executed a search warrant at 409 E. Hempstead Ave., Fairfield. More than 100 plants suspected to be marijuana were seized. A large amount of evidence was also seized and the investigation is ongoing.
Campbell John Hair, 63, a resident of the address, was charged with manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school (class D felony), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (class D felony), drug tax stamp violation (class D felony), keeping a dwelling for the purpose of keeping, possessing, selling, or using a controlled substances (aggravated misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).
Additional charges could be filed at the end of the investigation.
The Jefferson County Attorney?s Office assisted with the investigation.
