The Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington came alive the evening of Oct. 9, with the sounds of rustling plastic aprons and gloves and the seemingly endless requests for “More rice, please!” or, “We need more beans here!” as 100 volunteers from around the Washington Community, in conjunction with the nonprofit group Take Away Hunger, packaged 10,500 meals.
