Panther boys win three events in Eddyville
EDDYVILLE ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? track and field team was led by Brandon Moorman in Eddyville on Thursday. Moorman placed first in two individual events and was the anchor in the winning shuttle hurdle relay as well.
Moorman won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.34 seconds, and took the 110 hurdles with a time of :15.04.

EDDYVILLE ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? track and field team was led by Brandon Moorman in Eddyville on Thursday. Moorman placed first in two individual events and was the anchor in the winning shuttle hurdle relay as well.
Moorman won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.34 seconds, and took the 110 hurdles with a time of :15.04.
The shuttle hurdle team of Cole Phillips, Blake Vandenberg, Tommy Thorne and Moorman finished in :59.37 for the win.
The Panthers had second-place finishes from Zach May in the 3200 (10:34.34); the 4x800 team of Donnie Johnson, Clayle Franklin, Drew Perry and Nate Smith (8:50.56); Demetrius Goode in the 100 (:11.53); Thorne in the 400 (:52.61) and in the 400 hurdles (:55.49); and Moorman in the 200 (:23.14).
Justin Dunn had a lone third-place finish for the Panthers with a throw of 136-0 in the discus.
The Panthers will compete again on Tuesday in the Davis County Relays, which begin at 4:30 p.m.
Next weekend, some of the Panthers will travel to the Drake Relays, where they have qualified three events: the shuttle hurdle, 4x100 and 110 high hurdles.
Phillips, Vandenberg, Thorne and Moorman will compete in the shuttle hurdle, while Josh Larson, Goode, Dalton Conrad and Moorman will run the 4x100. Moorman will also run the 110 hurdles.
