Parts of Kiwi Avenue readying for paving

Jones Contracting Corp. of West Point will begin working on Kiwi Avenue from 300th Street to 290th Street, then west on 290th Street to Highway 1 in preparation for paving the existing gravel road next spring.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, and subject to weather conditions, Kiwi Avenue and 290th Street will be closed to through-traffic to allow the contractor to replace the existing metal cross road pipe with reinforced concrete pipe. After the cross road pipes are replaced, the road will re-open to through-traffic until the paving portion of the project begins in the spring 2021.
