PAWS car show returning to Washington
Aug. 18, 2022 8:54 am
WASHINGTON — PAWS & More will host its most popular fundraiser this Sunday: a car show in Washington’s central park. The annual event is arranged by the shelter’s board and volunteers, alongside the Corn Country Cruisers.
"It’s our biggest event of the year, we’re really excited,“ shelter Director Amber Talbot said. ”We’ve never had activities and other things for children to do at this event, so it’ll be more family-friendly than it’s ever been.“
In addition to the showy vehicles, organizers have arranged for face painting, balloons, a choir, a donkey, a “kissing booth” of puppies and kittens, dancers, various kids’ games, and some shelter animals that will tour the show on leashes.
The event goes from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a lunch served from 11:30-2:30. Registration opens at 8 a.m. on the square in Washington, and costs $15, with all proceeds benefiting the shelter.
