PAWS & More fundraiser planned this weekend
WASHINGTON — Animal Shelter staff will host a pulled pork lunch in Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The shelter’s newsletter said freewill donation proceeds would support its rescue and re-homing efforts.
“Have a lunch with us while helping the animals,” the shelter’s May newsletter said. “This first-ever event will be dine-in or drive-up!”
The menu will include pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, green beans and “an array of tasty desserts.” In addition to the meal, the event will also feature raffles for baskets and items donated by area businesses, according to the newsletter.
