PEO Chapter Original A meets

PEO Chapter Original A met Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the home of Jean Reschly with 25 members present.

Carolyn Brenizer presided over the business meeting. Ways and Means Chair Sally Kinney reminded members that orders for See?s Candies and Kringles need to be placed by Nov. 21.

A donation was made to purchase textbooks for students in Kyrgyzstan. Catie Moore Scott, a member of Chapter Original A, is currently teaching English in that country as a Peace Corps volunteer.

A program on the Iowa PEO Project Fund was presented by Mary Elgar, Susie Kerr, Marilyn Young, Anita Hampton and Lesa Fitzpatrick.

Refreshments were provided by Reschly, Bev Ray, Gloria Gugeler and Paula Kinney.

The monthly coffee will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, at de Brito Baking Bistro. The next regular meeting is Dec. 7 in the PEO Memory Rooms at IWC.
