Marilyn Young hosted the May 2 meeting of PEO Chapter Original A. Co-hostesses were Betty Baker, Dixie McAllister and Jennifer Rode. They prepared a salad supper, which was enjoyed by 29 members.
Carolyn Brenizer presided over a short business meeting. The ways and means committee, co-chaired by Sally Kinney and Kathy Nellor, held an ?Upset the May Basket? fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will go to PEO educational projects, which provide scholarships and loans to female college students. The funds raised also help support Cottey College in Nevada, Mo., which is owned by the PEO Sisterhood.
The next regular meeting of the chapter will be June 6, at the home of Jenne Simmons. The program will be presented by Joy Conwell.
