WASHINGTON — A trio of Vegas divas will kick off Washington’s Performing Arts Series 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at the high school’s Hanson Auditorium.
The show by a group called Divas3 spans four decades covering hits from the ‘60s through the ‘90s from artists like Aretha Franklin, Carole King, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Cher, Dolly Parton, Donna Summer, ABBA, and more.
Individual members of the group are known best for their starring roles in shows on the Las Vegas Strip, on Broadway and national tours, and the TV show American Idol. As a group, Divas3 has headlined hotels and casinos throughout their hometown of Las Vegas, performing arts centers across the United States, and luxury cruise ships worldwide.
A news release from the Washington Performing Arts Series Committee said adult tickets for the night were $20, college tickets $10, and K-12 students admission was free. They’re available at washingtonauditorium.org, or at the door Thursday night.
