Person dies in Jefferson County rollover accident

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release Tuesday, Sept. 16 indicating that a person had died in a side-by-side rollover accident.

The name of the individual was not announced at the time of the news release, but the sheriff’s office could report that the incident occurred at about 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15 when a 911 call was received about a side-by-side having rolled over in the 1100 block of 262nd Boulevard.

Deputies and emergency personnel arrived on scene at 2:10 p.m., and discovered that the driver of the side-by-side had passed away as a result of the accident.

“The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends,” the news release stated.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene were other first-responding agencies such as Libertyville Fire and Rescue, Batavia Fire Department and Jefferson County Ambulance.
