PHOTO: Bargain Box signs

Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary first vice president Judy White arranges some of the clothing beneath one of the new signs posted to remind people of the important contribution the auxiliary has make to the community through purchases at the Bargain Box. Some of the messages are about the 12 scholarships given each year, while others simply thank the community for its support and patrons for their business. The auxiliary has given more than a million dollars to the local hospital during the past 50 years and more than $300,000 in scholarships. A large portion of those gifts have been due to the contributions to, and patronage business at, the Bargain Box.
