PHOTO: Bird lesson

Maharishi School of the Age of Englightenment first- and second-grade boys went to Jefferson County Park Thursday for a science lesson on birds with park naturalist Therese Cummiskey. There was a brief introduction to the kinds of bird food followed by each boy getting a cup full of a mixture of seeds. Above, Cummiskey talks to them about the different kinds of feeders and instructed the boys where they could put their food before going into the bird blind to await the arrival of the hungry horde.
