Fairfield school district students, from left, Dain Nelson, Sam Mattson and Gunnar Mattson don?t let wind chill temperatures hovering around zero get in the way of some lively bus stop conversation this morning in front of the Lockridge Post Office. Tuesday night?s dusting of light snow covered up icy streets and walks to make for some treacherous trips to school. The district?s school buses ran on hard-surfaced roads only Tuesday and today.
