Pickup totaled after accident north of Ainsworth

West Chester resident Larry West was hospitalized after an accident totaled an S-10 Chevy he was driving Monday morning.
“West … was observed to be driving southbound on Vine Ave, in the 2300 block,” a preliminary accident report said. “The S-10 left the roadway and came to rest West of Vine Ave in a small creek in a field next to 2371 Vine Ave.”
West was transported to University of Iowa hospitals, according to the accident report. Investigation is still ongoing as to the accident’s cause.
