Pickups collide near New London
A two-vehicle accident Oct. 16 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Racine Avenue, south of New London, resulted in minor injuries to one of the drivers.
According to the Henry County Sheriff?s report, Carl Harold Loyd, New London, was driving a 2005 Ford F-250 eastbound on U.S. Highway 34. Loyd made a left turn onto Racine Avenue, but failed to yield.

A two-vehicle accident Oct. 16 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Racine Avenue, south of New London, resulted in minor injuries to one of the drivers.
According to the Henry County Sheriff?s report, Carl Harold Loyd, New London, was driving a 2005 Ford F-250 eastbound on U.S. Highway 34. Loyd made a left turn onto Racine Avenue, but failed to yield.
The Loyd vehicle pulled out in front of a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500, being driven by Thomas George Reeter, Cedar Rapids. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
Loyd sustained minor injuries and was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was assisted at the scene by the Iowa State Patrol, New London Fire and Rescue and the Henry County Health Center ambulance.
