WASHINGTON — Members of PLANT Washington gathered on Earth Day for a ribbon-cutting and shovel-turning ceremony and Alive-After-5 celebration, to mark the opening of their long-awaited community garden on South Avenue D.
The nonprofit has shared a public Google Doc with copies of leases for the 5x10 raised beds, which can now be reserved for planting at a rate of $30 per plot. A link to the Google Doc is available in the online version of this article.
