Playground ribbon cutting delayed
WASHINGTON — A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Washington’s newest playground at the Wellness Park has been postponed to Friday, Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m.
Washington Parks Superintendent Nick Pacha made the announcement by email on Oct. 13, the initially scheduled date for the event. He said the delay was “due to weather conditions.”
The structure is officially open for public use, and kids are free to play on it prior to the now-rescheduled ribbon cutting.
