Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 7:28 p.m. Monday at 227th Street and Highway 1. Courtney Lea Lowery, 28 of Keosauqua, was driving a 2008 Toyota Highlander south on Highway 1, following a 1987 Ford truck driven by Thomas Wayne Yocham, 49 of Hillsboro, and owned by Winn Corp. of Fairfield. Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 7:28 p.m. Monday at 227th Street and Highway 1. Courtney Lea Lowery, 28 of Keosauqua, was driving a 2008 Toyota Highlander south on Highway 1, following a 1987 Ford truck driven by Thomas Wayne Yocham, 49 of Hillsboro, and owned by Winn Corp. of Fairfield. The truck swung out wide to make a right turn west onto 227th Street. Lowery did not see the turn signal and tried to go around the truck to the right. The truck collided with the Toyota?s back tires; Lowery did not notice and kept driving. Damage to the Toyota is estimated at $3,000.
