The Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 5:35 p.m. Friday on Pleasant Plain Road. According to the accident report, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Mahmoud Kamal E. Ahmed, 27, 600 S. Fourth St., was southbound when a deer came out of the ditch and struck the vehicle. The impact combined with slick road conditions caused the vehicle to slide on the roadway and come to rest in the ditch. ...

The Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 5:35 p.m. Friday on Pleasant Plain Road. According to the accident report, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Mahmoud Kamal E. Ahmed, 27, 600 S. Fourth St., was southbound when a deer came out of the ditch and struck the vehicle. The impact combined with slick road conditions caused the vehicle to slide on the roadway and come to rest in the ditch. Estimated damages are $4,000 to the vehicle and $100 to two signs.
