The Fairfield Police Department received a report at 9:52 p.m. Thursday about two bicycles stolen between 4:30-7 p.m. Monday from a porch at 400 W. Hempstead Ave. One bike was recovered near South Casey?s. The bikes are valued at $175 and $75.
Police investigated at 7:03 p.m. Thursday an aggravated assault on a peace officer, a Class D felony, interference with official acts and driving under suspension in the 1200 block of West Burlington Avenue. Luis Diaz, 37, of Lockridge was subsequently arrested in Lockridge on those charges, plus two Minnesota warrants.
Police received a report at 4:19 p.m. Thursday about criminal mischief in the 800 block of West Depot Avenue.
