The Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Main Street and Fillmore Avenue. The Fairfield Police Department responded to an accident at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Main Street and Fillmore Avenue. According to the accident report, a 2001 Ford truck driven by Jonathan Anderson, 16, 405 E. Fillmore Ave., stopped eastbound and then proceeded into the intersection into the path of a northbound 2000 Mazda driven by Eric Schroder, 23, of Rock Island, Ill. Anderson said he did not see the other vehicle because of a telephone pole. Anderson was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. Estimated damages are $4,000 to Schroder?s vehicle and $3,000 to Anderson?s vehicle.
