Fairfield Police Department took a report at 6:49 p.m. Wednesday of fifth degree criminal mischief occurring sometime between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at the VFW.
Police investigated at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday a fifth degree theft occurring between 5-10:15 p.m. Wednesday at Leisure Living, No. 60.
Police investigated a broken window at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday on the south side of an apartment at 303 E. Buchanan, C1. A long metal pole was found lying on the ground. The police report said from the break pattern it appeared to be the item used to break the window. The officer believes children playing with the pole either accidentally or purposely broke the window. Police have no leads or witnesses.
Police investigated a report of third degree burglary at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at 312 S. 14th St.
