The Fairfield Police Department responded an accident at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Burlington Avenue and 14th Street. According to the accident report, an eastbound 2004 Volvo driven by Richard Herman, 46, 1102 Wedgwood Circle, was slowing for another vehicle when it was rear-ended by a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Justin Shaw Darby, 22, of Oxford. The Fairfield Police Department responded an accident at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Burlington Avenue and 14th Street. According to the accident report, an eastbound 2004 Volvo driven by Richard Herman, 46, 1102 Wedgwood Circle, was slowing for another vehicle when it was rear-ended by a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Justin Shaw Darby, 22, of Oxford. Darby was cited for no insurance, fraudulent use of registration and failure to stop in an assured clear distance. Estimated damages are $500 to Herman?s vehicle and $2,000 to Darby?s vehicle.
