Fairfield Police Department partial publication of daily activity and log of calls into dispatch on Tuesday:
8:08 a.m. juvenile male asking to buy cigarettes at Jet Stop could not show an identification when cashier asked; juvenile yelled at cashier and cashier asked him to leave. He rode south on a red bike.
8:40 a.m. caller reported receiving a phone call from someone identifying as Publisher?s Clearing House and gave a number 866-996-5997 to confirm. Resident gave no information and asked who caller was, who then hung up.
10:44 a.m. report from Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store about Jennifer Jones, who was issued a trespass warning last week, came into Hy-Vee gas station Monday and wrote two bad checks.
1:44 p.m. Jeff Reed was arrested on a probation warrant.
3:17 p.m. Jennifer Jones was arrested for criminal trespass at Hy-Vee gas station.
3:19 p.m. caller reported a railroad crossing arm malfunctioning; one arm was up and flashing, one arm was down and flashing, and no train was visible.
5:55 p.m. caller reported a black wallet with skull and chain was either lost or stolen.
6:37 p.m. resident reported receiving a phone call, number showed 000-000-0000 and someone asked resident about his computer and laptop. Resident said he didn?t have computers and asked for identification, and the caller hung up.
7:24 p.m. resident reported two males in neighborhood were fighting and screaming at one another then left in a blue pickup truck with a rack on the back. Officer checked area, unable to locate. Talked with another neighbor who confirmed two males fighting in area but didn?t see where they went.
8:24 p.m. two-vehicle accident reported, being handled by Iowa State Patrol.
