Fairfield Police Department?s log of calls received at dispatch Wednesday included:
7:06 a.m. two abandoned bicycles taken to impound.
9:53 a.m. theft at Walmart investigated.
12:40 p.m. Yvette Stepp was arrested on a warrant.
4:55 p.m. Mogen Keene, 26, and Courtney Carey, 18, were both driving east on Burlington Avenue when a truck driving erratically blew black smoke and neither Keene nor Carey could see through the smoke. Carey collided with the rear of Keene?s vehicle, and both vehicles had extensive damage. Carey was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance and issued a warning for no insurance.
