Police arrest two in connection with vehicle theft in Olds

At approximately 8:50 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff?s Office received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred during the overnight hours in the 100 block of West 3rd Street in Olds. The witness was able to provide a description of a suspicious vehicle they had observed in Olds during the times of the thefts. The vehicle was later found in Mt. Pleasant and while searching the car, items from the thefts were found inside the car.

Jessie Anthony Rios, 19, of Fairfield, and Justin Michael Olson, 19, of Mt. Pleasant, were arrested for burglary to a motor vehicle. Rios was also charged with possession of stolen property ? 4th degree, while Olson received a second charge of theft ? 5th degree. Both are currently in the Henry County Jail awaiting their initial court appearances.

Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
