Police cite 10 for possession of alcohol; one for marijuana
The Fairfield Police Department used funds from a juvenile alcohol grant to pay overtime to put additional officers on the street in plain clothes for prom and other activities this past weekend.
Twenty-four people were given Preliminary Breath Tests resulting in four minors under the age of 18 and six adults being cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. ?

The Fairfield Police Department used funds from a juvenile alcohol grant to pay overtime to put additional officers on the street in plain clothes for prom and other activities this past weekend.
Twenty-four people were given Preliminary Breath Tests resulting in four minors under the age of 18 and six adults being cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. ?
According to police, four minors were cited and released to a parent. The adults were cited and released.
Eighteen cases of beer were destroyed.
In addition, the police said an underage person attempted to buy alcohol at all the local bars. No one sold to the underage person. ?
While the underage person was attempting to purchase alcohol, officers saw a person using what they thought was marijuana in the municipal parking lot at B Street and Briggs Avenue.
